A key, or credit on one you already hold. Somebody spends it by the request rather than by the month. A small purchase is a real purchase, and not a trial of something larger.
Somebody writes down everything you ask a model. The account you asked from is what ties a year of questions into one person. Paying without an account does not close that gap on its own. An account nobody had to prove is still a different starting point from one attached to a card.
