Hosting
On the roadmapA server, rented without an identity attached to it, and why it is sold by the day rather than the hour.
Credentials for a machine: address, user, key. A virtual server or shared hosting, depending on the plan.
Several third parties rent one with no identity check and no deposit, which clears the second filter outright. Somebody verified the hourly price.
Why a day and not an hour
An hour costs about a cent and a half, and the network fee is about eight. Charging by the hour would mean a buyer paying five times the price of the thing to buy it.
| Unit | The fee as a share | Workable |
|---|---|---|
| An hour, ~$0.015 | 561% | No. The fee costs more than the server. |
| A day, ~$0.36 | 23% | Past the threshold, and the unit this card would sell. |
